When you drink at your favorite beach bar. Have you ever had up a really good idea that everyone would love? Next time, perhaps you’d better write it down so you can remember it the next day. That way, you can put it in action and profit from your drunken ideas.
Here are 5 of our favorite boozy ideas and creations:
1. Drinking Board Games
Once upon a time, we only had decks of cards or quarters and cups to create drinking games with. Now times have changed and they’ve brought us cool drinking games like “Shots And Ladders”, “Drunkopoly”, and “Battleshot.” They’re great to play during small drinking gatherings and always lead to a good time. If you play any drinking games though, please remember to drink responsibly.
2. Shark Week
Did you know that everyone’s favorite TV week was created from notes on the back of a cocktail napkin during an informal meeting of the minds of Discovery Channel executives at a bar after work? It’s true. As they sat around coming up with new programming ideas, one of the executives suggested Shark Week, and thus, the best week of TV programming was born.
3. Booze Shotgun
There’s an episode of The Simpsons where Homer invents a makeup gun to shoot makeup onto Marge’s face. While that didn’t go over so well, someone dreamed up this creation that allows you to shoot 1 ounce of liquid into your mouth at a time via a gun. Of course, this seems more like the thing you’d want to administer on yourself, lest you trust your drunken friend to have proper aim enough not to burn your eyes with alcohol.
4. The Pet Rock
It shouldn’t be surprising that this idea came to life after many drinks. What IS surprising is that it took off so well. If only we’d thought of it first. The inventor, a man named Gary Dahl, tried his hand at other things and even opened his own bar so he could have a place to think of ideas, however nothing he dreamed up became successful so he opened up an ad agency.
5. Cruzin Cooler
This, by far, has to be THE coolest boozy idea ever. If only it existed when I was in college! Now it could be useful too, to help us on the beach or tailgating at the game. If you’ve ever lugged a giant cooler around for even just one minute of your life, when you look at this invention and think, “WHY didn’t I think of this before?!?” It’s brilliant. You can use the scooter to ride your cooler around short distances. That’s perfect for when you park at the beach and have to get your cooler of beer and subs down to the water’s edge. Having a big beach bash? You can use the trailer hitch to connect another cooler. Now what is cooler than that?
